Made Mondays: Locally Made Treasures!

promisemechocolate1.jpg

Owner and founder of Promise Me Chocolates, Stacey VanWaldick-Van Campen, first got interested in chocolate in an unconventional place: the metal shop. While completing her graduate studies in jewelry and metalsmithing at Syracuse University, she was encouraged to experiment with materials other than metals and gemstones. Inspired by the challenge, Stacey became adept at wax carving, mold making, and casting. She decided it might be fun to cast melted chocolate into her molds and experiment with edible pigments, something the chocolate industry had yet to see. It was with this thought that Promise Me Chocolate was born.

Established just two years ago, Promise Me Chocolate has become nationally recognized for its unique designs and tasty products. When Stacey isn't chocolatiering, she teaches art and jewelry making to high schoolers, striving to inspire her students just as her art teacher did her. With talent and originality on her side, Stacey has undoubtedly taken two different interests and combined them into something very sweet.

These chocolates are so unique and beautiful.  I especially love the ring box idea!
